In recent months, new commitments, priorities, and tools have given momentum to the international road safety agenda. On October 6, representatives from international organizations, regional institutions, multilateral banks, and specialized organizations will meet to discuss how to put these advances into practice in Latin America and the Caribbean.
A joint effort
The Aleatica Foundation for Road Safety is part of this initiative alongside ASEVI, multilateral development banks, ECLAC/UNDESA, the FIA Foundation, FICVI, the MAPFRE Foundation, the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety, iRAP, OISEVI/SEGIB and the Kingdom of Morocco.

To decision-makers in Latin America, staff at road agencies, road safety agencies, and observatories; representatives of multilateral banks and civil society organizations; independent professionals; academics; and students.
What topics will be covered?
The webinar will explore the developments shaping the international and Ibero-American agendas:
- Marrakech Declaration (Fourth Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety)
- United Nations High-Level Meeting on Road Safety
- United Nations Decade of Sustainable Transport 2026–2035
- Ibero-American Strategic Framework for Safe Mobility 2030 and Madrid Declaration “Toward an Ibero-American Space for Road Safety”
- Ibero-American Safe Mobility Index
The discussion will also address the role of funding, regional collaboration, technical exchange, and information in accelerating the implementation of road safety solutions.

By bringing these issues together in a single conversation, the webinar aims to contribute to a common agenda and accelerate solutions toward safer, more inclusive, and more sustainable mobility.
The discussion also aims to contribute to the process leading up to the 30th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, as part of the efforts led by the Ibero-American Observatory on Road Safety (OISEVI) and the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) to strengthen road safety on the Ibero-American agenda.
