Call for proposals: We Are Road Safety recognises and promotes initiatives by civil society organisations (CSOs) and start-ups that help prevent fatalities and serious injuries caused by road traffic accidents.

In line with the Second Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021–2030, the Call for proposals: We Are Road Safety promotes solutions based on the Safe System approach, centred on the pillars of safe road infrastructure, safe speeds and safe use of roads, to reduce risks and their consequences.

In line with the Decade of Sustainable Transport 2026–2035, it also broadens its scope to encompass a comprehensive vision of mobility, shifting from an approach centred on risk factors towards the incorporation of criteria relating to accessibility, operational efficiency and inclusion, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable road customers.
