Fundación Aleatica announces the third edition of the Somos Seguridad Vial 2025 Award, a national recognition aimed at showcasing, strengthening, and funding projects with high potential to reduce road traffic fatalities and serious injuries in Mexico.
The Somos Seguridad Vial Award is one of Fundación Aleatica’s most ambitious initiatives to accelerate innovation in road safety. This year, three financial awards will be granted in the amounts of 300,000, 350,000, and 400,000 Mexican pesos to help scale and solidify projects that promote safe mobility. In addition, all selected initiatives will receive specialized training delivered by the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety, a global network of over 400 member organizations spanning more than 100 countries.
The call for proposals opens on July 23, 2025, and is open to submissions from Civil Society Organizations and Startups.
This edition enhances support for selected teams with sessions designed to strengthen their projects and tailored preparation for Pitch Day—the final stage where participants will present their proposals to the jury. All proposals must address one of the following three challenges:
- Two-Wheel Safety: Promoting safe motorcycling through comprehensive interventions.
- Transforming Risk Points: Building infrastructure that prioritizes vulnerable road users.
- A Culture of Road Safety in Motion: Encouraging responsible behavior across all levels of the mobility pyramid.
