Aleatica Foundation contributes to the Accident Reduction Program in the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense (CEM)

Aleatica Foundation for Road Safety, in collaboration with the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense (CEM), joins efforts to contribute to the Accident Reduction Program (PRA), a strategic safety initiative designed by Aleatica to reduce the number of road incidents of users circulating on all its concessioned roads.

Safety, one of Aleatica’s five pillars, translates into concrete actions to guarantee the well-being of its users, collaborators and contractors. In this sense, the Accident Reduction Program is part of its main initiatives to reinforce its commitment to road safety.

Fundación Aleatica will join efforts during the two days that will take place on September 22 and 29 at the Chimalhuacán soccer fields, located at kilometer 59 of the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense. During these days various educational and preventive activities will be carried out for people who come to exercise and socialize on weekends, with special attention to drivers and motorcyclists who attend every Sunday.

Campaign activities

The days, whose schedule will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, will be focused on health and vehicle inspection campaigns that are part of the Road Safety initiatives promoted by the PRA, which include the following actions:

  1. Mechanical checks to vehicles
  2. Medical check-ups to attendees
  3. Performances with drivers to make them aware of safe driving.
  4. Presentation of the Safety Squadron
  5. Virtual reality simulators
  6. Deployment of a driving track with basic induction for motorcycles, presence of certified instructors, loan of motorcycles and personal protective equipment (helmet, gloves, knee and elbow pads). Special emphasis will be placed on the importance of using certified helmets that comply with safety regulations to reduce the risk of serious injury.
  7. Recommendations from Fundación Aleatica’s experts on safe driving for vehicle users and motorcyclists.

The Road Safety Monitor prepared by experts from Fundación Aleatica, a pioneering analysis made up of data from official public sources, revealed that there was an increase in the number of serious injuries to motorcyclists, going from 36,484 in 2021 to 42,736 in 2022, i.e. 17% more nationwide, hence the importance of continuing to work with them to prevent traffic events.

Significant investment in road safety

As part of its commitment to road safety, Aleatica Mexico has allocated between 2020 and 2024 1,928 million pesos to the Accident Reduction Program (PRA) in all its concessions. The 2024 budget for the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense amounts to 285.1 million pesos.

This investment seeks to improve safety on the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense and the rest of its concessioned roads.

According to the Mexico 2023 Sustainability Report, Aleatica has implemented a comprehensive approach to offer safer and more efficient travels.
