The Aleatica Foundation promotes safe driving among motorcyclists.

● The Aleatica Foundation held its 4th Safe Driving Day for Motorcyclists, promoting safer and more responsible mobility.

● Road accidents involving motorcycles represent a growing public health challenge. In 2023, almost 6,000 deaths were recorded, an increase of 13.9% over the previous year.

● This action is part of the programs to contribute to the goals of the United Nations Second Decade of Action for Road Safety (2021-2030).

With the aim of strengthening road safety culture and reducing traffic accidents involving motorcycles, the Aleatica Foundation for Road Safety held a Safe Driving Training Day for Motorcyclists, a free event held on November 14, 2025, as part of the Motociclismo ConSentido (Sensible Motorcycling) program.

This workshop was aimed at both Aleatica employees and external individuals interested in improving their driving skills, thus reinforcing the inclusive nature of the program, in line with ongoing efforts to strengthen road safety among motorcyclists.

The event was attended by 32 motorcyclists from different municipalities in the State of Mexico, who spent an intensive day reinforcing their driving skills and acquiring practical tools to improve their safety on the road.

Training for safer mobility

According to the latest edition of the Road Safety Monitor: An X-ray of the Situation in Mexico towards 2030, motorcycle fatalities in our country increased by 13.9% compared to 2022. Road accidents involving motorcycles represent a growing public health problem. In 2023 alone, 5,927 fatalities were reported.

Over the last decade, the number of fatalities and serious injuries among motorcyclists has risen steadily, driven by the growth in the number of two-wheeled vehicles on the road, their use as a work tool, and the lack of specialized training.

Similarly, in Latin America, motorcycle deaths account for one in four traffic accident deaths, according to the Urban Health in Latin America Project, which analyzed traffic fatalities related to motorcycles in 337 cities in seven countries: 33 in Argentina, 152 in Brazil, 21 in Chile, 35 in Colombia, one in Costa Rica, 92 in Mexico, and three in Panama.

Given this context, the Aleatica Foundation promotes training initiatives that encourage safer and more responsible mobility. Within this framework, a workshop was held at the Italika Driving Academy, located in the Iztapalapa district, a specialized center authorized by the Mexico City Mobility Secretariat.

Theoretical and practical training

Throughout the day, participants took part in theoretical and practical sessions aimed at strengthening their technical skills in safe driving, addressing topics such as:

● Braking techniques and vehicle control.

● Evasive maneuvers in response to common risks.

● Traffic laws applicable to motorcycle use.

● Basic preventive maintenance.

● Proper use of helmets and protective equipment.

The training was offered at two levels—basic and intermediate—and was aimed at motorcyclists who use this vehicle as a means of personal or work transportation.

The basic course focused on people with less than one year of experience, in order to reinforce the fundamentals of road safety, defensive driving, and regulations.

The intermediate course, meanwhile, was aimed at more experienced motorcyclists and included advanced maneuvers, risk prevention, passenger care, and the practical application of safe driving techniques in more complex scenarios.

 Donation of certified helmets

As part of the program, the Foundation donated a certified helmet to each participant, reinforcing the program’s core message: helmets save lives. This donation, made under a formal donation agreement, is part of the Foundation’s efforts to reduce the severity of injuries in the event of an accident and promote the responsible use of protective equipment.

Each helmet delivered was high quality and certified, underscoring the commitment to protecting vulnerable customers and reminding us that the right equipment can mean the difference between life and death.

Results and commitment

Participants received a certificate of participation and the opportunity to practice in a controlled environment, using motorcycles provided by the training center.

With Motociclismo ConSentido, the Aleatica Foundation reaffirms its commitment to prevention, education, and shared responsibility on the road, contributing to safer and more sustainable mobility environments for everyone.

This event is part of an ongoing strategy that demonstrates the positive impact of specialized training in the prevention of road accidents and in building a culture of responsible mobility.

Thank you to all the participants for being part of this effort!
