With the aim of promoting actions that make the right to safe mobility a reality for all people, Aleatica Foundation for Road Safety presented its 2024 Annual Report during the 8th United Nations Global Road Safety Week, held from May 12 to 18. The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to safe and sustainable mobility, benefiting more than 45,000 people through its road safety programs.
The 2024 Annual Report highlights key achievements such as:
The organization of two unprecedented regional events, in collaboration with iRAP and the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety, to promote a shared agenda in Latin America.
The launch of the Road Safety Monitor, a tool that presents an overview of the road safety situation in all 32 states of Mexico based on accessible data for decision-makers and the general public.
The proposal of the “License for Road Safety That Saves Lives”, based on scientific evidence, which could save between 2,400 and 3,250 lives per year in Mexico.
More than 547 police officers trained with practical and up-to-date tools to respond to road crashes, strengthening emergency response capacity.
The promotion of high-impact social projects through the Call for Proposals: We Are All Road Safety, benefiting over 37,000 people.
After two years of operations, we have positioned ourselves as a regional benchmark in road safety, with a strong commitment to advancing the goal of the Second Decade of Action for Road Safety: to reduce by 50% the number of fatalities and serious injuries from road crashes by 2030. We chose to present the Report as part of the 8th Global Road Safety Week because it is a valuable opportunity to advance that goal.
