Aleatica Chile and Automóvil Club Sign Agreement to Implement International Road Safety Standard in Schools

We are pleased to announce that on Friday, July 11, 2025, the official signing ceremony of the collaboration agreement between Sociedad Concesionaria Camino Nogales Puchuncaví of Aleatica Chile and Automóvil Club Chile (ACCHI) took place. The goal: to implement the road safety education program Educación Vial Somos Todos: #SeguroEsCool in schools across Nogales and Puchuncaví.

This partnership marks a milestone for safe mobility in the Valparaíso Region through the adoption of the Star Rating for Schools (SR4S) methodology—developed by iRAP and supported by FIA Foundation and the Child Health Initiative.

The tool enables a technical assessment of road safety around school environments and recommends specific tactical urbanism improvements such as safe crossings, signage, and speed-reducing infrastructure.

The initiative stems from the joint work of both organizations within the National Pact for Road Safety, coordinated by the National Traffic Safety Commission (CONASET) under the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications. It also includes a technical diagnosis and awareness-raising activities involving students, teachers, and families to strengthen a culture of road safety.

As part of the agreement, the Nogales–Puchuncaví Concessionaire will serve as donor and facilitator of the project, while Automóvil Club will take the lead on technical execution, engaging with government and local actors, and coordinating infrastructure improvements. Once the interventions are completed, each school will be reassessed for road safety and awarded a recognition plaque. This collaboration builds on lessons learned from Fundación Aleatica’s initiatives in Mexico and aims to replicate successful models in new territories. The project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and reaffirms Aleatica’s commitment to safer mobility.
